Women's Counseling Centers, International

We are women who are committed to helping other women create lives for their families that are safe, stable, encouraging and successful.

Our Mission

Established in 2010, the mission of Women's Counseling Centers, Intl. (WCCI) has always been to assist women and their families in crisis. Our counseling center immediately began serving women and their families who were in need by utilizing a donation based affordable sliding scale. This approach has allowed hundreds of women to receive professional counseling services that are otherwise, financially, inaccessible.

In addition to our counseling center, WCCI established and successfully ran three homes for women and children; Natalie’s House of Grace (Clairemont), Jessica’s House of Hope (SD) and April’s House of Restoration (Philippines). Based internationally, April’s House was focused on rescuing young girls from Human Trafficking.

Our locally based homes were created in response to a specific need. At that time, the County of San Diego had very limited options for women with children to enter treatment while they were recovering from mental illness, on parole, after a domestic violence incident or struggling with substance abuse. As a result, women would have to relinquish custody of their children in order to enter treatment. Frequently, they were fearful that relinquishing their children would make regaining custody difficult. By working with the County Human Services agencies, the women were able to maintain custody of their children by living in a structured environment with full-time supervision, a treatment plan that was agreed on by all providers and regular visits to the home by County approved service providers.

To date, over 500 women and their families have been positively impacted through the counseling services, referral program , sobriety program, life skills and employment assistance of WCCI. Most recently, CAST Collaborative, a division of WCCI, has emerged with a focus on addressing specific issues such as Human Trafficking (HT) of girls ages 13-17 y/o as well as women who have been affected by HT.

We continue to focus on developing a multi-disciplinary approach to coordinated services for addressing family and relationship issues by working very closely with county, community, healthcare, law enforcement and non-profit providers. Our commitment is to provide access to quality care for all women and their families.

Women’s Counseling Centers, International is a non-profit 501c(3) entirely staffed by female volunteers.

All services are made possible by tax-deductible community donations.
